Meet the Artists: Brooklyn Sound Transit Site

Join STart, Sound Transit art program, to meet the artists for Brooklyn Link Light Rail Station

Lead Pencil Studio was commissioned through a national call-to-artists process, organized by STart, Sound Transit public art program. The artists will discuss their previous work and how they will prepare for creating public art at Sound Transit’s future Brooklyn Link light rail station in Seattle’s University District.

Meet the artist:

Lead Pencil Studio creates an interdisciplinary overlap of architecture and site-specific art. With training in ceramics, photography, sculpture and drawing as well as architecture, Han and Mihalyo explore spatial conditions in the built environment. Lead Pencil Studio recently completed the empty billboard sculpture near Peace Arch Park on the Canadian border.

Here’s your chance to view over a hundred selected works ( poster art ) by designer Art Chantry who has not shown in a Seattle gallery for over 15 years .

Famous for being one of the most celebrated and prolific designers that Seattle’s artistic underground has ever produced -Art Chantry’s body of work is simply staggering! This your chance not only to view or purchase his work but also a chance to gather with other enthusiasts and to meet the artist himself !

Damaged Goods has been selling poster art since the opening in January 2010 and they’re excited that they’re able to offer Art Chantry posters for sale, which will be available for purchase at Damaged Goods for the entire weekend of Dec 10 through 12.

Beverages available from six until nine pm.
