Rogue Taxidermy is a term referring to taxidermy specimens that are ramped up and pimped to create hybrid creatures, perhaps adding pieces from two different animals or bits of odds and ends to create brand new creatures of horror and delight.

From the Belfrey’s website:

The majority of our items are vintage or antique and as a result they may show wear. We will note any damage due to age whenever possible and always do our best to provide the highest quality antique and vintage items we can find.

We understand and appreciate that taxidermy may not appeal to everyone. All of our taxidermy is vintage to the best of our knowledge and we do what we can to prevent the purchase of harvested animals. We feel that taxidermy is a way of giving praise to an animal that would no longer be alive and as animal lovers we feel honored to have these animals adorn our walls. antique and as a result they may show wear. We will note any damage due to age whenever possible and always do our best to provide the highest quality antique and vintage items we can find.

I just want to clarify one thing… I’m the one teaching these classes as well as the founder of DAT and I really enjoyed seeing this write-up; however, I do not teach rogue taxidermy in my classes. I teach traditional taxidermy, which is completely different.
