2012 is the 50th Anniversary of Century 21, the Seattle World’s Fair. 2012 is also the 50th anniversary of the film “It Happened at the World’s Fair”, starring Elvis Presley.
Elvis came to Seattle for 10 unforgettable days and in honor of his visit, Bumbershoot is bringing Elvis back to the Seattle Center in an ELVISTRAVAGANZA of fine art, music, performance, installations, pop culture and kitsch.
For 4 days only, attendees at the Seattle arts festival “Bumbershoot” will be able to view and enjoy a virtual Elvistravaganza of original art, unique performance, interactive exhibits and installations, all honoring The King, Elvis Presley. A preview of this art show is free, noon until 9pm, Friday August 31st at the Seattle Pavilion at the Seattle Center.
