Lucia Neare’s Theatrical Wonders

Enter a world of wonder in Lullaby Moon XII on Saturday, September 19. Performance begins about 6:30 pm at Warren G. Magnuson Park. Please wear white and bring a sleeping bag or blankets to keep cozy.

Because having the site ready for your arrival is important to us, we ask that those of you who want to come early please delay your arrival until after 5:30 pm. Enter the park at 74th Street. Find parking, then follow the cross-park trail to the lake shore, just south of Kite Hill. Those with early bedtimes are welcome to attend any part of the performance.

Lullaby Moon XII is envisioned and created by Lucia Neare, with theatrical direction by Cathy Madden, choreography by Mark Haim, Karn Junkinsmith, Olivier Wevers, Guy Caridi, and Jenna Bean Veatch, music direction by Holly Eckert and Matt Goodrich, and technical direction by David Verkade.

Lullaby Moon is a year-long invitation to Seattle to explore a world of dream. A celebration of the night sky, the series of performance events brings bedtime whimsy and wonder to parks and other public spaces throughout the city, enlivening and enlightening the dark time of each month. Performances take place on each new moon for an entire lunar year beginning in October 2008.

Lullaby Moon XII is supported by Bullivant Houser Bailey, 4Culture’s Site Specific Performance Network, the Mayor’s Office of Arts and Cultural Affairs, Seattle Parks and Recreation, and the wonderful generosity of private donors.
