Georgetown becomes a French village for Bastille Day
Posted by Marlow Harris under Events , FoodNo Comments
It sounds like a raucous time in Georgetown in Seattle for Bastille Day at the Corson Building. The overlying theme is Bastille Day, underlying theme, “French Fireman’s Ball” and they are transforming Georgetown into a french village for one night, Tuesday the 14th.
There will be crepes, falafel, stew, cotton candy, kir to be consumed. Guests will be met with petanque, Red/white/blue Spin Art Bike, contests where you can win live chickens, dancing and some fire juggler or other circus-y type performer. There will also be some bands like Caspar Babypants in the afternoon and Schoolyard Heroes in the evening.
Tix available at the door ($20). Your fav fete starts at 3 pm and ends at 12am and kids under 12 are FREE.
The Corson Building is helmed by the internationally recognized Food & Wine magazine America’s Best Chef winner Matt Dillon and lovable local foodie Wylie Bush. It is a dining experience that has been called a “juxtaposition of the industrial and the bucolic” by Gourmet magazine.
