The creative team behind Night Blind, a local film in the works, is sponsoring a cocktail party fundraiser at The Ruins the evening of Thursday, April 2nd.

The film has won the IFP/Seattle Spotlight Award, and the creators has secured the support of various luminaries on their advisory board, including two-time Academy Award-winning cinematographer Janusz Kaminski. The fundraising event will feature writer/director Robert Parks, cinematographer Adam McDaid, producer Sean West, and associate producer Kate Wharton, and will include an auction of intriguing items including an African safari.

“Night Blind is the suspense-filled story of Jack Carter, a small town sheriff on the hunt for the monsters that beat and murdered his close friend, the Reverend of Clearwater. On Jack’s journey of retribution, he finds himself moving ever closer, with each movement, each decision, to the precipice of becoming the malignity that he thinks he’s been fighting all his life.”

The event is an opportunity to mingle with interesting people and support local film. The team asks for a (tax deductible) $100 donation from each attendee, and requests that you RSVP by end of day Tuesday March 31st.
