Seattle-area pinball enthusiasts are invited to compete in the First Annual Georgetown Invitational Pinball Tournament on Sunday, February 22. This exciting competition is open to all amateur players ages 21 and older. The tournament takes place at three lively establishments in close proximity along Airport Way South in the colorful Georgetown arts community. Valuable prizes provided by neighborhood businesses will be awarded in several categories, many unrelated to final standings.
Contestants will congregate at Jules Maes Saloon (5919 Airport Way S.) on Sunday, February 22 between noon and 2:00 PM for practice and registration. Competition commences at 2:00 PM. A nominal $10 entry fee includes a commemorative tournament tee shirt. Additional games will take place at nearby satellite locations Calamity Jane’s and 9 Lb. Hammer. The format pits randomly selected players in head-to-head matches in best 2-out-of-3, double elimination brackets.
Spectators are encouraged to attend to cheer – or heckle – the players during this delightfully gripping, and frequently hilarious challenge. Admission is free and all venues offer a diverse menu of food and drinks at affordable prices.
