OBAMA’s speech last night prompted joyous celebration and dancing in the streets at Cafe Racer in Seattle.
Pinch Me!!! I can’t believe it !
We watched his speech in a crowded room full of our best friends at Cafe Racer, our favorite neighborhood spot here in Seattle, where we’ve gathered weekly sharing great friendship, laughter, and open conversation, and as I glanced around the room packed to the gills with teary-eyed friends and then back to Obama on the screen giving his speech of hope, it was truly hard to believe that this dream has come true.
When his speech was over, everyone took to the street outside dancing, hugging, kissing, crying, filling the street, sharing unbridled joy, stopping traffic just enough to let a small stream of cars and busses pass through. They all were yelling their support as they passed, as we were. These were moments we will never forget. One of the most incredible moments of joy and celebration I could imagine. The streets all over Seattle were clogged in joyous celebration with people like us who are still in disbelief.
We have stood up for what we need. We voted with hope, and now we have been blessed ! I know I’m tired, but pinch me, I think our dream is real. Congratulations to all of us for making our dreams come true.

I am wondering if the celebratory feeling is still as wild as it was then. I don’t have anything against the guy as a person, but I thought all along that people were going thoughtless about him just to get away from what was beginning to be the biggest hype job and character assissination in our recent history.
It was foolish for everyone to hope for such extreme shifts when all that was needed was reasonable adjustment.
But, that’s just my opinion.
