SHORTY’S ANNUAL PINBALL TOURNAMENT ON SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 9! AWESOME ACTION ALL DAY LONG AT SHORTY’S PINBALL PARLOR.
More than 100 pinball enthusiasts from the Northwest and beyond will gather at Shorty’s in Seattle, Washington on Sunday, November 9 for the 11th Annual Shorty’s Pinball Tournament. This competition has gained an international reputation as one of the most exciting and entertaining events of its kind. The contest is open to all amateur and professional players ages 21 and over. Shorty’s is located at 2222 Second Avenue, in Seattle’s fabulous Belltown neighborhood.
The competition pits players in head-to-head contests, best 2-out-of-3 games, in double elimination brackets. This format provides for gripping action, enjoyed by players and spectators alike. Players compete for the grand prize of a classic pinball machine, as well as cash and other awards in a variety of categories. For the second year, points will be awarded in the World Pinball Player Rankings of the International Flipper Pinball Association (IFPA). Practice begins on November 9 at 11:00 AM, with registration at noon, and competition commences at 1:00 PM for a nominal $10 entry fee. Spectators attend for free.
Local arts maven and pinball impresario Larry Reid, who instituted the initial installment of this annual event 20 years ago, again presides over the festivities, held for 11 consecutive years at Shorty’s.
